A program heralded as a new cooperative step in higher education to help working Mississippians get an advanced degree has an uncertain future as funding concerns persist.
The more than 20 students currently enrolled in the Master of Science in Systems Management (MSSM) program were told several weeks ago that funding problems could force the program to discontinue accepting new students. They were also told, though, that program would continue at least until those currently enrolled graduated. The MSSM program is currently in the first year of an inaugural 3 1/2-year term.
