Oxford — Commercial development has dramatically changed the face of Oxford during this decade.
No where is that more evident than around this university town’s historic square, notes Vaughn Grisham, an associate professor of sociology at the University of Mississippi and director of the McLean Institute, which helps communities across America initiate and develop strategic plans for growth.
Standing at the west end of the square and pointing to each building as if using the horizon as a big blackboard, Grisham explains the amazing transformation.
“None of this is how it was a decade ago,” he said. “It’s all changed.”
