Contract right step in turning around old Yellow Creek site

There was good news from Iuka last week.

Minnesota-based Alliant Techsystems will use the Tri-State Commerce Park to manufacture composite structures for a new family of Boeing rockets. If options for additional production are pursued, the total value of the contract could climb to approximately $1 billion by 2020.

The possibility of a billion-dollar deal for the Tri-State Commerce Park, the re-christened name of the Yellow Creek boondoggle, is long-overdue news to the people of northeast Mississippi who have been waiting years for the Yellow Creek investment to pay off.
