Mississippi Technology Extension Partnership helps state compete

It used to be that it wasn`t until an industry was leaving the state that professors in related disciplines at state college and universities would find out what factors caused the industry to close up shop.

And it used to be that the U.S. had the leisure to be less efficient than other countries in mobilizing all its educational, governmental and private sector resources to aid economic development.

But now there is a global economy. And that means, to be competitive, manufacturers in Mississippi have to meet every challenge – no matter where it is.
