Mississippi 304 will improve access to Tunica gaming

ROBINSONVILLE – DeSoto and Tunica counties will get an economic boost when the proposed new Mississippi 304 is on track earlier than projected.

Highway commissioners recently voted to expedite the building of new Mississippi 304, linking Robinsonville to I-55, said Zack Stewart, Northern District transportation commissioner for the Mississippi Department of Transportation.

Divided into three sections, with most of Mississippi 304 in DeSoto County, the project will cost an estimated $118.3 million, said Donna Lum, spokesperson for the Mississippi Department of Transportation.
