Unlicensed homebuilders face Jan. 3 deadline

Mississippi homebuilders who are not licensed have a unique opportunity to do so thanks to a law passed by the 1998 Legislature – but the deadline to do so is Jan. 31, 1999.

The Homebuilders Licensing Law allows non-licensed homebuilders in business before July 1, 1995, to apply for licensing through the Mississippi Board of State Contractors, 1-800-880-6161.
