Linda Jacobs, director of special events for the Mississippi Business Journal, was hired just a couple of months before the biggest event of her business year: the sixteenth annual Mississippi Business EXPO `99, scheduled for this Wednesday and Thursday at the Mississippi Trade Mart in Jackson.
“There has been a lot of pressure trying to do in two months what usually takes six to eight months,” Jacobs said. “But the staff at here has been very helpful in offering any information that was used in previous years. With this and years of experience working with other events, I was able to successfully pull it all together.”
