Workforce development, a local sales tax referendum and changes in language to include the service industry as an incentive for businesses top the legislative agenda for the MetroJackson Chamber of Commerce in 1999, said president Duane O`Neill.
“The chamber has been more pro-active this year than most other years,” O`Neill said. “Last year, we decided to go into the next legislative session with our agenda set and push for certain pieces of legislation and make sure we accomplish that and that it`s what everyone was looking for.”
