Red Hills Ecoplex wins nat’l award

ACKERMAN — Mississippi`s innovative Red Hills EcoPlex, one of the first ventures into the emerging field of industrial ecology in the U.S., has won a national economic development achievement award.

The Red Hills EcoPlex, a multi-tenant, ecologically-sensitive industrial park in Choctaw County, has received the Partnership Award from Business Facilities, a New Jersey-based magazine published for corporate site selection specialists. The award was announced in the magazine`s December 1998 issue and is part of its 6th Economic Development Achievement Awards program.
