Community Bank expanding

HATTIESBURG — Community Bank announced it has bought an option to purchase 6.25 acres in the 5000 block of Hardy Street to build a new 10,000-square-foot bank. Community is currently housed in a 3,000-square-foot building.

“Even though we will be moving a short distance from our present site (3707 Hardy Street), it will be a world of difference in terms of the expanded facilities we will be able to offer our customers,” said Lee Fedric, president of Community.

Construction is scheduled to begin this summer and planned for completion in May 2000.
