It’s noon and you’re getting hungry

Where do business professionals head for lunch in the metro Jackson area? Do they choose somewhere quiet, centrally-located, casual or upscale? What determines the difference?

Mark Porter of Barksdale Bonding & Insurance heads to Nick’s on Lakeland Drive, an upscale restaurant established in 1983 by Nick Apostle, an average of twice a week because, “it’s some of the best food in the state and lends a professional ambience for business meetings.”

“You can discuss business without having to listen to people at the next table and the restaurant offers a wide variety of food that will suit any diet. Also, if your client or associate has a sweet tooth, Nick’s will take care of that,” he said, with a laugh.
