Ground-breaking in DeSoto

SOUTHAVEN — Ground-breaking ceremonies were held July 8 for the new Bob Pelts Industrial Park and its first tenant, Metalcraft. The ceremonies were held at the park’s site at the intersection of Stanton and Stateline Roads in Southaven.

Bob Pelts Industrial Park is situated on 98 acres. Metalcraft, a division of Southwark Metal Manufacturing Company, is currently constructing a 60,000-square-foot facility at the site, and is scheduled for completion by March 1, 2000. Metalcraft expects to eventually employ 75 people over the next three years.
