Company uses mentor program, power in D.C., to land contract

CANTON – Rather than wait for contracts to come to them, Electro National Corp. used Mississippi’s power in

Washington and a mentor program through the Department of Defense (DOD) to land a $3-million contract that should lead

to millions more in sales.

In a deal with Fort Worth, Texas-based Bell Helicopter Textron Inc., Canton’s Electro National will produce fluid,

hydraulic and air tubing systems for the nation’s newest military aircraft. The contract will mean more employees, a possible

expansion in square footage, and increased sales for the 40-employee, minority-owned Electro.

Electro President Michael Trigleth considers this deal a major milestone in the company’s 26-year history. As a dedicated

supplier for Bell, “this is the kind of business you’ll be able to plan on year after year,” he said. “This is a marriage.”
