Mississippi legislators are finally getting the message: Do something about jackpot justice. Do something to protect small businesses. Do something to save jobs. Do something to promote growth and investment in our state’s economy.
And, it seems, that they are.
Having moved forward with important changes to Mississippi’s medical malpractice laws, members of the state House and Senate must now enact meaningful reform of the general civil justice system.
Mississippi needs it — now.
As one business owner rallying at the Capitol last week said, it is time to build wealth through good hard work, not the courts.
Amen to that, and let’s hope that the Legislature gets it.
