JACKSON — EastGroup Properties has acquired the Arville Distribution Center in Las Vegas, Nev., for a purchase price of $11.05 million. The purchase represents EastGroup’s entry in the Las Vegas market. PORT GIBSON — Officials with Jackson-based Entergy Nuclear say that a top safety rating from the Nuclear Regulatory Commission reflects Grand Gulf Nuclear Station’s 24-year history of safe operation. WASHINGTON — In the week ending May 23, the advance figure for seasonally adjusted initial unemployment claims was 623,000, a decrease of 13,000 from the previous week’s revised figure. The four-week moving average was 626,750, a decrease of 3,000 from the previous week’s revised average. HATTIESBURG — BAE Systems has received orders worth approximately $118 million for 63 more M777 howitzers, taking the order total to exactly 800 guns.
