MACON — The Noxubee Alliance recently held its annual Salute to Industry awards luncheon, during which the Alliance honored Thomasson Company/East Mississippi Pole as the Industry of the Year and recognized Wilford and Mary Patterson of Patterson’s Professional Car Care as Entrepreneurs of the Year.
Since 2005, Thomasson Company has invested over $6 million in the future of Noxubee County by establishing East Mississippi Pole Company and sister company Macon Treating. Thomasson Company, a supplier of poles and wood products to utility companies and other industries, offers CCA and CCA-ET treatment options through Macon Treating Company for Southern Yellow Pine processed at East Mississippi Pole Company. The sister companies are located together on approximately 30 acres in Macon.
Wilford and Mary Patterson of Macon are the owners of Patterson’s Professional Car Care. The Pattersons purchased their current location in Macon almost 10 years ago. Since that time, the Pattersons have expanded their successful retail operation to include U-Haul rentals and auto sales.
