COPIAH COUNTY — U.S. Commerce Secretary Gary Locke announced a $425,000 Economic Development Administration (EDA) grant to Copiah County to help build a new water well to serve the Copiah Industrial Park.
The project, made possible because of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009, is expected to create additional jobs and private investment in the region.
Locke said. “This grant will help put people to work and boost private investment in the region by upgrading critical infrastructure to support business expansion plans and serve future business needs.”
