Carol Ford of Hazlehurst has been appointed chairperson for the Mathematics and Computer Science Division at Copiah-Lincoln Community College. Prior to joining the Co-Lin staff in 2000, she was a math instructor at Copiah Academy for 12 years and also taught at St. Andrews Episcopal School and in the Lincoln County, Hazlehurst and Warren County school districts.
Ford received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Mississippi and her master’s degree from Mississippi College. She is a member of the Copiah-Lincoln Educators Association and has been recognized as a STAR Teacher. Ford has been recognized with the Lamplighter Leadership Award, Pitts Faculty Enrichment Grant, National Institute for Staff and Organizational Development (NISOD) Excellence in Education Award and named to Who’s Who Among Community College Teachers.
