RIDGELAND — The Mississippi Technology Alliance announced the formation of Strategic Biomass Solutions at the recent 8th Annual Southern BioProducts and Renewable Energy Conference in Jackson.
Strategic Biomass Solutions (SBS) provides comprehensive assistance to existing and potential companies, investors and economic developers in the renewable energy industry sector. SBS offers companies strategic guidance for making their technology investor ready and connects companies to early stage private capital and available tax incentives.
With partners in five states, SBS is helping foster a regional strategy to develop the renewable energy industry. SBS can assist economic developers and companies in determining the economic feasibility of next generation biorefineries. SBS also works with the Manufacturing Extension Partnership of Mississippi to achieve manufacturers’ profitability through energy utilization efficiency.
“Strategic Biomass Solutions is supported by a team of experts ready to help entrepreneurs grow or develop energy projects,” said Sumesh Arora, director of SBS. “We look forward to working with companies, investors and communities to grow the renewable energy industry in Mississippi.”
