David Williams, M.D., of Clinton has been confirmed to the Mississippi State Board of Health by the Mississippi Legislature. Williams is president of Medical Care Associates in Jackson. He is a graduate of Tougaloo College and the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. His internship and residency in internal medicine was completed at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis. Williams was board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in 1999 and became a Certified Correctional Health Professional in 2007. His honors include being named a National Health Service Corps recipient, a Research Fellow at the University of Pittsburgh and a National Research Service Award Fellow. He and his wife, Azande, are the parents of four children and are active in church and in their community.
