JACKSON — A senior diplomat with the Embassy of India to the U.S. is visiting Jackson next week. Ambassador Arun K. Singh, deputy chief of mission, will address the Executive Lecture Forum Sept. 4 at the Fairview Inn.

“India and the United States: A Partnership for the 21st Century” will be the topic of his noon luncheon presentation.

As with all ELF programs, the event is organized by the Janos Radvanyi Chair in International Security Studies at Mississippi State University.

While in the state capital, Singh also is scheduled to meet with Gray Swoope, executive director of the Mississippi Development Authority, and Rep. Greg Harper (R-Miss.), congressman for the Third District.

Singh, a Delhi University economics graduate, was his nation’s ambassador to Israel before assuming his current posting last year.
