GULFPORT — Geospatial Holdings Inc. has been selected as a part of a team selected to provide underground pipeline utility location and mapping services over a three-year period to the Mississippi State Port Authority at Gulfport.
During Hurricane Katrina, the port’s electrical power supply, roads, water, sewer, rail, small craft harbor fender systems, navigational aids, and lighting and security systems were all destroyed or severely damaged by the storm.
The Mississippi State Port Authority at Gulfport has retained the team of Mississippi Engineering Group Inc., Geospatial Mapping Gulf Coast, LLC (a wholly-owned subsidiary of Geospatial Holdings Inc.) and Pickering Engineers to provide a program to locate, verify and map all above-ground and below-ground utilities throughout the entire port area prior to the rebuilding of the port.
