BILOXI — The 42nd Hancock Bank Gulf Coast Economic Symposium will be held Oct. 6 from 7 a.m. until 12:15 p.m. at the Mississippi Coast Coliseum Convention Center in Biloxi.
This year’s theme is “Gulf South Strong & Proud — Insights for Success.” The event will explore the economic potential and prosperity along the I-10 corridor spanning New Orleans and the Northshore, South Mississippi and Mobile and Baldwin counties in Alabama.
The keynote speaker will be Dr. Loren C. Scott, professor emeritus of economics at LSU and president and founder of Loren C. Scott * Associates Inc. Scott’s presentation is titled “The Big, Bad Economy: What’s Happening, Where Are We Going, & What Makes Us Different?”
Success Forums will be led by Lance Nall, Ph.D., CFA, dean of the University of Southern Mississippi’s College of Business; Henry N. Dick III, J.D., LLM (taxation); and, John R. Barlow, president and founder of Barlow Research Associates Inc.
