Alcorn to break ground for residential complex

LORMAN — Alcorn State University will hold an official groundbreaking ceremony for the new student housing complex that is being built by the Alcorn State University Educational Building Corporation. The event will be held Oct. 15 beginning at 11 a.m. on Alcorn’s Lorman campus.

The complex will include four housing units plus an amenities building featuring a convenience store, fitness center, computer labs and leasing offices. The new complex, scheduled to open in the fall of 2010, will replace 1,002 beds.
