Hankins’ career began inauspiciously 
Cellular South’s COO says company’s story is ‘really compelling’
Kevin Hankins was pursuing an engineering degree in the 1980s when he received a telephone call one afternoon.
A representative from Motorola was on the line and asked if Hankins had ever heard of cellular technology.
“I told him, ‘Why, no. I haven’t,” Hankins said.
