Law school presents degrees

Mississippi College School of Law recently awarded Mississippi Court of Appeals Judge L. Joe Lee an honorary master of laws degree. Judge Lee and four others were presented the honorary degrees at a luncheon on Nov. 12 at the law school.

Others receiving the honorary degree were Earl Keyes, Roland Marble, Harry Owen and Alan Perry.

Judge Lee earned his juris doctorate in 1973 from the former Jackson School of Law, now the Mississippi College School of Law. The Mississippi College School of Law named Judge Lee as Lawyer of the Year in 2004. He has served on the Court of Appeals since Jan. 1999, and as a Presiding Judge since 2004.
