MPACT enrollment deadline nears

JACKSON — State Treasurer Tate Reeves is reminding Mississippians that the deadline for the Mississippi Prepaid Affordable College Tuition (MPACT) applications is Dec. 31, 2009. Reeves will visit the cities of Meridian, Tupelo, Hattiesburg, Gulfport and Jackson.

MPACT offers the chance to lock-in at today’s tuition prices, and provides a great way to save for college early and affordably. Parents or grandparents can purchase between one and five years of college, and various payment options are available including lump sum, annual and monthly installments.

MPACT is also guaranteed by the State of Mississippi and can be claimed as a tax deduction on Mississippi Income Tax.
