Delphi shuts down production lines

CLINTON — Delphi has ended production at its Clinton plant.

In September, the company, announced plans to close the facility which employed about 300.

Spokeswoman Rachelle Valdez said about 20 workers remain at the site this week. She says those employees will be shipping out final production and equipment at the plant that produced cable and wiring connectors for GM, Toyota and other companies.

Local production is being sent to Warren, Ohio.

Valdez tells The Clarion-Ledger that those employees are expected to complete their work in two weeks.
