Baylis inducted into Academy

Premier Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine is proud to announce that Thomas B. Baylis, M.D., was inducted as a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS) March 10 during ceremonies at the Academy’s 2010 Annual Meeting in New Orleans. Baylis received his undergraduate and graduate degrees from the University of Southern Mississippi, and was awarded his medical degree from the University of Mississippi School of Medicine. He completed his residency training at University of Tennessee College of Medicine-Chattanooga. Under the direction of Dr. Lawrence Lemak and Dr. James Andrews, he completed his sports medicine fellowship training at the American Sports Medicine Institute in Birmingham, Ala..

Specializing in arthroscopy and sports medicine, Baylis partners with Dr. Jeffrey Burns, a fellowship trained joint replacement surgeon at Premier Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine in Hattiesburg.

Baylis is a member of the Mississippi State Medical Association, the Mississippi Orthopaedic Society and the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine.
