Hancock Bank has promoted eight associates as new vice presidents of the 111-year-old financial services institution. Sherlyn Breland, Bay St. Louis Main Branch, is a Bay St. Louis native, a 44-year veteran of Mississippi financial services and a 26-year associate of Hancock Bank. She joined the company with the merger of Peoples Federal Savings and Loan in Waveland. The manager and a Hancock Investment Services Inc., licensed annuity specialist at Hancock’s Bay St. Louis branch, Breland is a graduate of the Mississippi School of Banking. She also holds lending certification and is a notary public. She is a past treasurer of the Hancock County Chamber of Commerce, Jaycettes, BHS Booster Club and the Hancock County Heart Association. She was also a founder and treasurer of local Kiwanis chapter, a member and past maid of the Krewe of Nereids and a past queen of the St. Joseph Carnival Association. Breland received a Hancock Bank Pioneer Award and a Hancock Hospitality Award.
Yvette Dahm, Central Division administration, has 23 years of financial services experience. The St. Martin native and Latimer resident began her Hancock Bank career in 1990 with the merger of Metropolitan National Bank in Biloxi and has been a teller, branch operations manager and risk management reviewer. She currently manages operations for the company’s Central Division. Dahm is a Biloxi Chamber of Commerce ambassador and serves on the United Way of South Mississippi Community Investment Team. She has also served as president, secretary, treasurer and ball captain for the Southernettes Carnival and Civic Association.
Julie McGrew Farlow, lending services – Long Beach, is a Gulfport native and manager of Hancock Bank’s lending services department at the Long Beach Interim Operations Center. She attended Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College and completed the Mississippi School of Banking. She has been a Hancock Bank associate for 20 years and has served as a commercial client administrator, commercial sales analyst and commercial and wealth management sales support manager. Farlow has volunteered as a company team captain for American Cancer Society and American Heart Association benefit walks.
Patricia J. Howell, asset quality, is a Magee native and an underwriter in Hancock’s central underwriting unit in Gulfport. She has been with Hancock 22 years and has also served as a loan-by-phone lender and a teller/loan closer at several Gulfport area branches. She attended both Mississippi Valley State University and Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College and received an associate degree in business from Phillips College in Gulfport.
James Roberts, PMP, strategic services – Long Beach, is a project manager who received an associate degree in applied science from Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College. He also holds project management professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute and completed commercial credit school through Hancock University. Roberts joined Hancock Bank 16 years ago and has been a leasing representative, underwriter and business systems analyst. He has 20 years of financial services experience. Roberts is a member of the Project Management Institute and has volunteered with the American Heart Association.
Dori Triplett, Controller’s Division, is an Ocean Springs resident who joined Hancock Holding Company in 2006 and now serves as the company’s controller. She received a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Kansas and is both a certified public accountant (CPA) and a certified management accountant (CMA). She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Ocean Springs Chamber of Commerce.
