Luke named to College of Fellows

The American Institute of Architects (AIA) recently elevated 134 architects to its prestigious College of Fellows, an honor awarded to members who have made contributions of national significance to the profession. Robert Luke, AIA, of LPK Architects of Meridian was elected to receive this honor because, under Luke’s leadership as NCARB president, his consensus building skills fostered collaboration with collateral organizations resulting in improved access to the practice of architecture for emerging professionals, enhancing the quality of their intern experience.

For over two decades, Luke has moved through the ranks of NCARB leadership, providing visionary leadership and strategic direction, allowing the organization to evolve with the changing practice of architecture in order to sustain the profession. His natural commitment to the emerging professional and ability to forge relationships between collateral organizations has allowed NCARB to provide a new approach in improving the internship experience.

The new Fellows, will be invested in the College of Fellows at the 2010 AIA National Convention and Design Exposition in Miami June 11.
