William Carey adds new specialist degree

HATTIESBURG — Dr. Barry Morris, dean of the School of Education at William Carey University (WCU), has announced a new specialist degree in higher education administration beginning in the fall of 2010.

This 33-hour degree program is designed for professionals who are currently working or desire to work in community colleges and universities. It is also designed for individuals who wish to pursue advanced graduate work in higher education. The program will prepare students for leadership roles in human resources management, budgeting and finance, student affairs and college administration.

With flexible course offerings, the program is designed for full-time working professionals as well as other students. Courses will be offered in a variety of formats, including evenings, Saturdays and online, and will be taught by professionals with real-world higher education administration experience.
