AROUND MISSISSIPPI — The Mississippi State Department of Health (MSDH) has issued certificates of need (CONs) for the following projects:
• Greenbriar Nursing Center in D’Iberville — Greenbriar Nursing Center has received CON authority for the relocation of 46 long-term care beds from Azalea Gardens Nursing Center in Stone County to Greenbriar Nursing Center in Harrison County. The total capital expenditure is approximately $2.8 million.
• Oktibbeha County Hospital in Starkville — Oktibbeha County Hospital has received CON authority for the construction of a 13,767-square-foot, one-story medical office building located approximately 0.2 miles from the existing hospital. The total capital expenditure is approximately $2.56 million.
• University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson — University of Mississippi Medical Center has received CON authority for the amendment/cost overrun to a previous CON for the renovation of the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit. The additional capital expenditure is $415,797 . The total capital expenditure is approximately $3.54 million.
