YoungWilliams cuts ribbon on call center

YAZOO CITY — Officials from Child Support Services of Mississippi and state and local leaders recently celebrated the opening of the company’s Yazoo City facility at a ribbon-cutting event.

The new call center facility is creating 80 jobs in the Yazoo County area and represents a $5-million company investment.

Child Support Services of Mississippi is a division of Young Williams Child Support Services, or YoungWilliams, a Jackson-based firm that provides child support services to state and local governments.

Child Support Services of Mississippi has been contracted by the Mississippi Department of Human Services (DHS) to serve as the primary contact point for all 340,000 child support cases in Mississippi and to provide quick, convenient and customer-friendly service and information to support these cases.

“Our company is proud to be working with the Mississippi Department of Human Services to provide great customer service to the people the agency serves,” said Rob Wells, president and chief executive officer of YoungWilliams.

The Mississippi Development Authority provided assistance for this project through the Growth and Prosperity Program (GAP), which provides tax incentives to companies that locate in economically distressed areas. In addition, the state provided workforce training assistance through the On-the-Job Training (OJT) program.

First established in 1993, YoungWilliams currently provides child support services to 10 states. The company provides a wide range of child support operational, call center and consulting services in collaboration with state and local government agencies. YoungWilliams employs more than 700 people nationwide and focuses exclusively on child support services.
