JACKSON — Lawmakers will return to the Capitol this week to consider an incentive package for a $500 million economic development project.

Gov. Haley Barbour announced an Aug. 27 special session late last week.

Barbour says in a news release the project will have locations around the state and create 1,000 direct and indirect jobs through the company and the local suppliers.

Barbour says additional details about the project will come later.
