UNION — Supervisors in Neshoba County have agreed to pay $900,000 for the former Brook Manufacturing plant in Union and then lease it to a company that will employ 40 by the end of the year.
DuraSip manufactures fiberglass skin, foam core, structural insulated panels used as walls and roofs for home construction.
DuraSip partner Eric Habben says the fiberglass skins will be produced and packed at the plant for shipment.
Habben tells The Neshoba Democrat that DuraSip hopes to have its first line running by the end of September.
Supervisors will apply for loans from the Tennessee Valley Authority and the Mississippi Development Authority to pay for the building. They say MDA also has offered funds to make building improvements.
