Health Department awards CONs to hospitals

STARKVILLE and JACKSON — The Mississippi State Department of Health has issued certificates of need (CONs) to two hospitals for construction projects.

Oktibbeha County Hospital (d/b/a OCH Regional Medical Center) in was awarded a CON for a cost overrun of CON #R-0811, authorizing the construction of a medical office building. The additional capital expenditure is $596,076, and the total capital expenditure is approximately $3.15 million.

St. Dominic-Jackson Memorial Hospital has received CON authority for the construction/replacement of its behavioral health services facility on the north campus of St. Dominic. The capital expenditure is approximately $16.28 million.
