Johnson named new airport leader

The City of Cleveland has a new director for the David Work Municipal Airport Terminal. The Bolivar Commercial reports Clint Johnson will start is new job on Nov. 1, replacing Alton Vance.

City Administrator John Lindsey said Johnson is not a native of Cleveland. Lindsey said Johnson is from South Mississippi but has been attending Delta State University.

Cleveland’s Mosquito Control director Mark Ponder has been serving as the airport’s interim director.
