Judge to weigh Diamondhead’s incorporation
DIAMONDHEAD — A judge appointed by the state Supreme Court will determine whether Diamondhead incorporators have the required proof of publication needed to further their incorporation efforts.
Hancock County Chancery Clerk Tim Kellar tells The Sun Herald that a hearing is set for 12:30 p.m. today in the Harrison County Courthouse before Chancery Judge Billy G. Bridges.
The issue of the proof of publication was raised by the Concerned Citizens of Diamondhead, who appealed Bridges’ January decision in favor of incorporation. Ridgeland attorney Jerry Mills said he would be able to show proof of the legal publication at the hearing.
