UK: Google breached privacy with Street View

UNITED KINGDOM — Google committed a “significant breach” of the Data Protection Act when its Street View cars collected personal data including full emails and passwords from unsuspecting users, the UK information commissioner confirmed today.

A financial penalty on Google is not being pursued, as reported by the guardian.co.uk.
