The Beau Rivage has made public recent changes in the Food and Beverage Department. Sarah Cormier has been named buffet chef. She attended Johnson and Wales University where she obtained a bachelor of science degree in culinary arts. In addition to her skills as a kitchen manager, she has experience as a commis chef from The Wentworth Club in Surrey, England, and Couran Cove Island Resort in Queensland, Australia. Before joining Beau Rivage, she most recently held the title of banquets sous chef at Mohegan Sun Casino in Uncasville, Conn.
Monty Cross has been named room service manager. Cross has a bachelor of science degree in business and economic development from the University of Southern Mississippi. After graduating, Cross spent a year as a front desk agent at Hawthorne Suites Hotel in Hattiesburg before becoming a food and beverage supervisor for J. W. Marriott in New Orleans. He began his career at Beau Rivage in 2005 as an assistant buffet manager and later served as an assistant manager in Terrace Cafe. In 2008, Cross was promoted as manager of The Buffet where he has served for the last two years.
Samina Jan has promoted to buffet manager. Jan has worked for Beau Rivage since 1999 where she began working as a front desk agent. In 2002, she became assistant front desk manager and in 2005 she became assistant hotel manager.
Leslie Neuman has been named Jia manager. Neuman has nearly 10 years of management experience. Before joining Beau Rivage, she worked at Boomtown Casino as a food and beverage manager. She also worked as the valet and transportation manager at Boomtown Casino for the past seven years. Neuman attended the University of New Orleans where she received a degree in opera and has a bachelor of science degree in business administration from Delgado Community College.
Thomas Pryde is now the Terrace Café manager. A lifelong resident of the Gulf Coast, Pryde began his career at Beau Rivage in March 2001. Throughout his time at Beau Rivage, he’s served as room dining server, room dining assistant manager, pool manager, relief manager and most recently as manager of in-room dining.
Jiaqi Tang has been named BR Prime manager. Tang began her career with Beau Rivage in 2009 as manager of Jia. She has leadership and management experience from Peninsula Hotel in Chicago. Tang was assistant restaurant manager at Jean George Shanghai. Before joining Beau Rivage, she was catering and conference sales manager at Ritz Carlton, Shanghai. Tang attended HK Polytechnic University and received a bachelor of art degree in hotel, catering and tourism management. She speaks Chinese, Cantonese, English and Japanese.
