The law firm of Watkins Ludlam Winter & Stennis, P.A., has made several important staff announcements. Bradford C. Ray has become a shareholder of the firm practicing in the Jackson office. Ray practices law in the firm’s litigation department and focuses his practice in construction law, real estate litigation, title defense litigation, fidelity and surety law and copyright and trademark law. He is admitted to practice in Mississippi, Tennessee, U.S. District Court Southern District of Mississippi, U.S. District Court Northern District of Mississippi, U.S. Court of Appeals 5th Circuit and the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Tennessee.
Ray earned his juris doctorate from Mississippi College School of Law in 2003 and his undergraduate at Mississippi College (cum laude) in 2000. He is a member of the Mississippi, Tennessee and Hinds County Bar Associations.
Ray, along with his wife and son, live in Flowood.
Watkins Ludlam has also welcomed two attorneys to its Jackson office. J. Leray (Ray) McNamara has joined the firm as counsel, and Stephanie C. Edgar has joined the firm as an associate. McNamara is a well-known litigator in the state and has practiced in the areas of professional liability, healthcare, employment law and product liability. His honors include Best Lawyers in America, MidSouth Super Lawyers and 2010 Mississippi Business Journal Top 50 Leaders in Law. He was also elected to the American Board of Trial Advocates.
McNamra is a graduate of University of Mississippi with a B.A. in history and German and is a graduate of the University of Mississippi School of Law (1975 J.D.).
McNamara and his wife, Cindy, live in Jackson.
Edgar has practiced in the areas of medical malpractice, premises liability, products liability and insurance defense. She is a graduate of the University of Southern Mississippi with a B.A. in political science, and is a graduate of the University of Mississippi School of Law (2004 J.D.). She was an active Moot Court member and was named Member of the Year for her efforts.
Edgar is a native of Brandon and is married to Robbie Edgar. They currently live in Madison.
Finally, Watkins Ludlam announced that attorney Jason Wilton Bailey has been selected as one of 20 lawyers in Mississippi to participate in The Mississippi Bar’s inaugural Leadership Forum. Participants were chosen based on their knowledge of the law, their commitment to client service, and their involvement in the local communities in which they live.
Bailey’s legal practice is focused on business and real estate transactions as well as individual estate planning and wealth transfer. He is a native of Winona and currently lives in Olive Branch where he is an associate with Watkins Ludlam.
