‘Family Guy’ thief’s sentencing postponed until March

BAY ST. LOUIS — A federal judge has postponed the sentencing of a Bay St. Louis man convicted of copyright infringement for reproducing and selling copies of the “Family Guy” television series.
Neil John Brimelow pleaded guilty Nov. 8 in U.S. District Court in Gulfport. Brimelow was scheduled for sentencing Feb. 7. His attorney filed a motion Monday asking to postpone the sentencing for a month. The judge ruled Tuesday to move the sentencing to March 7.
A federal grand jury in Los Angeles indicted Brimelow in April.
The case was transferred from the federal court in California to Mississippi since Brimelow was living near Gulfport.
