BRANDON — Johnson Construction has been awarded a contract by the State of Mississippi to oversee energy upgrades to various state-owned facilities throughout Mississippi.
Terms were not disclosed.
Through funding received from the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act, Mississippi will be making various improvements to state-owned facilities in an effort to better monitor energy consumption and further their efforts of becoming more environmentally conscience.
Johnny Johnson, president of Johnson Construction, said “We are very pleased to have the opportunity to partner with Mississippi in their efforts to cut spending by assisting them in expanding their energy savings efforts throughout the state. Energy efficiency is at the forefront of everyone’s thinking these days and we are certainly glad to be able to play a part here in our home state and save taxpayer dollars along the way.”
