COFFEEVILLE — The Mississippi Department of Agriculture and Commerce has revoked the professional services license of Clifton D. Howe, owner of Howe’s Termite Control, LLC, of Coffeeville for violating state pest control laws and regulations.
This regulatory action also orders Howe to pay a civil penalty and prohibits him from performing general pest control services for any other pest control operator in the State of Mississippi.
Howe was licensed to perform termite and structural pest control work. However, according to the MDAC an investigation revealed that Howe’s Termite Control was performing general pest control services to a number of homes in Lafayette County with a pesticide not registered for indoor use. This discovery, along with Howe’s failure to perform termite treatments according to state minimum standards, led to the decision to revoke his license.
