GULFPORT — A Harrison County judge has dismissed Gulfport’s lawsuit to annex 2.5 square miles of Harrison County.
The property Gulfport wanted to annex included more than one square mile owned by developer James Frisby. Frisby’s Pitcher Point Investments had struck an agreement with Gulfport to bring city services to his property.
A chancery judge says the city altered its plans for the delivery of municipal improvements.
The judge says the city should adopt a new annexation ordinance, file an amended petition and republish public notices as required by law.
