BROOKHAVEN — Delphi Automotive is a leading global supplier of electronics and technologies for the automotive industry. The company has confirmed it will invest approximately $15 million to enhance its Brookhaven manufacturing facility in support of securing business with a major automotive customer.
The new business and investment means the retention of more than 200 jobs.
The Mississippi Development Authority worked closely with local officials in support of the project, providing funding through the Momentum Mississippi incentives program and the Job Protection Grant Program. In addition, the Lincoln County Industrial Development Foundation and Entergy Mississippi provided funding for this project.
Delphi’s Brookhaven facility has been in operation since 1977. The company’s investment will result in the purchase of new equipment and enhancements to the site in order to manufacture a new version of the printed circuit boards currently manufactured at the plant. Delphi plans to begin production of the new product in March 2013.
