BILOXI — Biloxi Mayor A.J. Holloway is making it clear that he does not want to use tax dollars to support the Ohr O’Keefe Museum of Art.
Holloway discussed the issue yesterday morning at his annual “Breakfast with the Mayor.”
As he discussed the city budget that he and the City Council are working on, Holloway said the museum has received $8 million from the city since he became mayor. He said the city could not keep putting tax dollars into the operation and maintenance of museums, according to WLOX.
The Ohr O’Keefe museum opened last year but officials have said it is not bringing in enough money to operate.
