Officials: Hospital rebounding from bankruptcy
NATCHEZ — Natchez Regional Medical Center officials say the hospital’s financial problems should be cleared up by the next fiscal year.
According to the Natchez Democrat, CFO Charles Mock says the hospital will pay off its debts in compliance with bankruptcy orders.
Mock talked Monday with members of the Adams County Board of Supervisors.
Mock says the hospital will have enough money to pay current vendors in the 2011-2012 fiscal year under bankruptcy requirements and have some extra for capital improvements.
NRMC budgeted revenues of $49.9 million and expenses of $48.2 million for the next fiscal year, according to information given to supervisors.
Under a bankruptcy order, NRMC will pay $1.74 million to vendors.
