VICKSBURG — New security gates and cameras are in the works at the Port of Vicksburg.
Tom Murphree, regional sales manager for Kinder Morgan, the port’s contract operator, tells the Vicksburg Post funding came from a $380,000 in federal grant.
Murphree says the beefed-up security system will replace old chain-link gates and cameras and should be installed “within a few months.”
Funds came from a grant, geared to port security, from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security.
